What does a typical workshop day look like?
Workshops move along at a comfortable pace, allowing everyone to get involved and understand the concepts. Our instructors will also be available throughout for Q&A related to your personal projects. Morning session begins after breakfast and after a relaxing, rejuvenating lunch, we continue through the afternoon. After dinner, we usually do something to wind down and celebrate the day's accomplishments!

What should I bring?
Work clothes, sturdy shoes, work gloves, rubber gloves, safety glasses, dust mask, trowel, notebook and pen. Feel free to bring other tools that you think would benefit the workshop. We also love when folks bring along their musical instruments for bonfires in the evenings!

What are the available accommodations?
If your workshop is on-site* at Saoirse Learning Center, we offer many unique accommodation options to suit your style and budget including private bedroom suites, camping, and dorms. Head on over to our accommodations page to learn more!

*Not all of our workshops are on-site. Please check your workshop event page to confirm. You will receive an email upon securing your spot with a special link to book your accommodations.

Can you accommodate my special diet?
We have a ton of empathy for people with special dietary needs and we are happy to accommodate. Just make sure you specify when you complete the workshop signup form.

I have a disability. Can I still come?
Yes, we love sharing knowledge with people of all abilities. Everyone contributes at their own pace!

Can I bring my dog?
We prefer you leave your dog at home so that you can focus your mind and energy on the program. However, in very special circumstances, we can help you figure out an on-site solution–just tell us about it in your workshop signup form and we will contact you to coordinate.

Can I bring someone who won’t participate in the workshop?
Yes! Many people come to our sanctuary just to enjoy the peace and stillness of Texas Hill Country. Make sure your friend/family signs up for their own accommodations, and feel free to direct them to our local attractions page for things to do!

Can I arrive a day early or stay later?
Yes, you are welcome to come early and leave late–just make sure to give us the details when you fill out your workshop signup form.

When should I buy my airplane ticket?
After you are registered and/or approved to go to the workshop.
